Andrea Tartaro

Andrea Tartaro is an Associate Professor of Computer Science at Furman University in Greenville, SC. Dr. Tartaro conducts human-computer interaction research related to designing computer systems to support education and behavior change, and she has worked with over 30 undergraduate students as well as collaborators in history, communication studies, chemistry, and psychology. She also conducts computer science education research on defining and expanding the role of Computer Science in the Liberal Arts with an ultimate goal of increasing participation. She teaches courses on introductory computer science, computer programming, human-computer interaction, computer graphics, senior capstone research seminar, and freshman writing. Dr. Tartaro received her Ph.D. from Northwestern University and A.B. from Brown University.
